Justin Marks, Win-Tron Racing Salem Speedway Advance
Salem, Indiana (September 16, 2010)- Emerging from the short track madness last Sunday at Toledo Speedway with a fourth place finish despite getting tangled up in a multi-car incident in the first half of the event, Win-Tron Racing and Justin Marks head to another short track challenge this weekend at Salem Speedway. The ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards visits the high banks of the half-mile oval for the 88th time this weekend as the 2010 racing season nears its last three events.
Starting from the inside of the fourth row last Sunday afternoon at Toledo, Marks found he had his work cut out for him due to heavy traffic and close racing that occupied the half-mile oval from the drop of the green flag. Swept up in a chain reaction accident near halfway, the Win-Tron crew repaired damage to the front and rear fenders of the Construct Corps Dodge in a timely fashion, keeping Justin in position to race with the lead pack. After a few minor adjustments and a final pit stop with 20 laps to go, Marks steered clear of trouble for a fourth place finish.
Im prepared for another chaotic show at Salem like we saw last weekend at Toledo. Its getting down to the end of the year and its the last short track race, and everyone is fighting for everything they can get, Marks said. Im confident well have a good Construct Corps Charger to compete up front with all weekend regardless.
With plans to return to competition this weekend with their trusted short track Dodge Charger, the team pulled together endless hours to repair damage sustained on track at Toledo in order to have it loaded and ready for battle at the Salem Speedway bull ring. Crew Chief Mike Chaffee is confident in the abilities of the short track car that has run strong nearly every time its hit the track this season.
Its a great car so theres no reason why we wouldnt bring it back again this weekend to Salem, Chaffee commented. We only made slight changes to it at Toledo, and the crew rose to the challenge this week to repair the cosmetic body damage and turn this primary car around. Im optimistic itll be fast again this Saturday night.
Earlier this season at Salem the crew progressively made changes to the Construct Corps Charger to assist Marks on the track, with final adjustments during the last pit stop of the race giving him the momentum to power into the third position when the checkered flag flew. Win-Tron Racings performance at the Indiana half-mile has improved steadily over the past two years; after a rough 2008 season with on-track incidents hindering their finishes, 2009 saw improvement in the form of two top-10 qualifying runs and top-15 finishes to boot. Justin Marks has also recorded two top-ten finishes in his last two visits to Salem, including the third place posting in the spring with Win-Tron.
A top-five finish amongst other championship contenders struggles at Toledo allowed Marks to gain two positions in the point standings, up to the fifth spot trailing leader Patrick Sheltra by 185 points. Coverage for this weekends Kentuckiana Ford Dealers Fall Classic at Salem Speedway can be found on ARCARacing.com through live timing and scoring, beginning at 1 pm EST on Saturday for the ARCA Racing Series practice session. The Win-Tron team worked really hard all week after Toledo to repair the damage to the Construct Corps Charger weve run at the short tracks this season because its a really great car. I felt bad that we had to do so much work just to bring the car back for this weekend, but our guys never fail week in and week out to bring solid equipment to the track. Were going to be on top of our game this weekend to continue our streak of solid runs that weve had over the past couple weeks and not let anything stand in our way.

Coming off of a good run at Toledo we gained some points in the championship battle which puts some momentum on our side for Salem. Were not giving up on anything and giving 110 percent every time we head to the track, hoping to get another win under our belt in these last three races.
